BELIEFS
ABOUT THE BIBLE:
We believe that God originated and inspired the entire Bible, it is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12).
ABOUT GOD:
We believe in one eternal, invisible God. He is creator of heaven and earth, and all living things. He revealed Himself as our Father in creation, in His Son Jesus Christ through redemption and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration within us. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh (John 1:14). He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).
ABOUT SIN, SALVATION AND THE GOSPEL:
We believe that all have sinned and is in need of redemption which is obtained by grace, through faith, based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-25; Romans 6:23).
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again. We obey the gospel "through faith" (Ephesians 2:8-9; I Peter 4:17). We experience our own death, burial and resurrection by repentance (death to sin) and being born again of water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (burial) and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) become children of God and heirs with Christ (John 3:5; Acts 2:37-42; I Corinthians 15:1-4).
ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING:
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy and separated life from the things of this world (I John 2:15-17). Holiness is bringing Christ into your life so He can start the work on the inside and as we allow Him to do this we will present Christ on the outside. Christian living has a foundation of obedience to His Word, not just following what makes us feel good. Through obedience we are able to show a spirit of worship towards God joyfully. Living holy is essential to having a close relationship with God (Hebrews 12:14).
The gifts of the Spirit are for the church today and are clearly in operation (II Corinthians 7:1; I Corinthians 12:8-10; I Corinthians 14).
ABOUT THE FUTURE:
Jesus Christ is coming again for His bride, the church. In the end, there will be a final resurrection and a final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death (I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15).
